Our Mission

Make disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.

Our Vision

We use four words to describe how to live out our mission of what a disciple looks like.

We want you to come to church, but the church is simply the place to learn about Jesus. If you come to church but miss out on Jesus then you missed out on the most important part. Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

COME

Life is not meant to be lived alone; therefore, community matters. We intentionally provide ways to connect with one another. When we connect, we are not alone.

CONNECT

We must grow in our relationship with God. There is always more to know! The best way to grow is to read and study God’s Word. It is where God reveals Himself to us and where we find His growth plan for us. God says the Bible is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness; therefore, through organized bible studies, small group opportunities, and in every worship experience we use it because we need to grow deep roots on our faith journey to live as disciples of Jesus.

GROW

We don’t want to live for ourselves, we desire to serve others. because the love of Jesus is too valuable to keep to ourselves. It is meant to be given away. To us, G.O. is Global Outreach. In the book of Acts, God lays out a strategy for us to follow. He says when the Holy Spirit comes on you us we are able to be His witnesses in Jerusalem, in Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. To us, that means Houghton Lake, Roscommon County, Michigan, the United States, and the world.
